Primary Workshops for Schools

Morris Dance Workshop

Step into the rich tradition of English folk culture with our Morris Dance Workshop, designed to give children of all ages and abilities the chance to experience this centuries-old dance form. Morris dancing, with its lively rhythms and cheerful choreography, is a vibrant way to connect with English history and heritage.

During the workshop, students will learn the key elements of Morris Dance, with bells and handkerchiefs, which add authenticity and fun to the experience. To enhance the immersion, we recommend that children dress in white, just as traditional Morris dancers do.

We can cater for up to 8 sessions of 30 children per day, with the option to conclude the day with a lively performance showcasing what the students have learned. Whether you’re planning for a single class or multiple classes, we tailor each session to meet your needs.

This workshop is a memorable way to celebrate English heritage and works perfectly with celebrations for May Day and St. George’s Day.

For more information on our Morris Dance Workshop, give us a call on 01536 265432 or email us on info@primaryworkshopsforschools.com.

Workshop & Performance

Workshop Sessions:

Up to 8 sessions

During a typical day-long workshop, Primary Workshops for Schools can work with up to 30 children in a session and deliver 6 sessions, stretching to 8 if required. The workshop can then end with a performance from the children during which they can showcase the moves they’ve learnt throughout the day and develop in confidence.
