Nick Wilson: Turning challenge into visibility, access and change
I’m Nick Wilson – speaker, influencer and the Disabled Adventurer. I talk openly about disability, mental health and access, and I use challenge and authentic storytelling to challenge assumptions, shift attitudes and show what’s possible, with a bit of nonsense thrown in for good measure.
This is about more than me getting outdoors. It’s about breaking barriers and making sure disabled people are seen, included and never left behind.
Services I offer
What I do
I bring lived experience, credibility and personality to the table. I’ve lived this, I talk straight, and I care deeply about making things more accessible, more honest and more useful.
Speaker
I speak about disability, mental health, resilience, accessibility and inclusion in a way that is honest, human and actually connects. There is humour where it helps, truth where it matters, and no polished nonsense in the middle. If you want a speaker who can hold a room and challenge people to think differently, I’m your man.
Influencer
I create content that is honest, engaging and rooted in lived experience. From social media and video to campaign storytelling and brand collaborations, my content is built to make people stop, think and feel something, then do something about it.
Adventurer
I take on adventures that push limits, test access and occasionally involve a healthy amount of chaos. From national trails to ambitious adaptive expeditions, my adventures are built to show what is possible, highlight what still needs to change, and make the outdoors feel less off limits for disabled people.

My latest adventure
50 at 50 – My biggest challenge yet
50 at 50 is my biggest campaign yet: a year-long challenge built to raise money, raise eyebrows and create lasting change. The aim is to raise £150,000 to fund and donate eight all-terrain powerchairs, while also backing the battery innovation needed for multi-day adaptive outdoor expeditions for disabled people and wounded veterans.
Access
All-terrain powerchairs can be the difference between isolation and freedom. By placing them at venues around the UK, we take away one of the biggest barriers to getting outdoors.
Innovation
This campaign also helps push battery and equipment development forward, opening the door to longer, tougher and more independent adaptive expeditions.
Legacy
We’re building something that can keep creating opportunities for disabled people long after the campaign ends, including adaptive adventure experiences.

Growing a movement
Hi, I’m Nick Wilson
Now I use my platform to challenge tired assumptions, talk straight about disability and accessibility, and push for a world where more disabled people can get outdoors and be seen.
As a speaker, influencer and adventurer, I bring honesty, purpose and lived experience to every conversation. Straight-talking, occasionally mischievous, and often covered in mud.
