The Chinese Dragon workshop worked for all our young people from 8-16 years, giving them a true insight into Chinese Dragon dancing. The workshop teacher was wonderful with our young people and kept them engaged throughout all of the sessions.

Our customers really enjoyed the workshops, and parents enjoyed the opportunity to be creative along side their children. The facilitators adapted well to delivering the workshops in public library settings.

The workshop was fantastic, the children were fully involved in the session, they made up new song routines to share amongst the group, the facilitator was very accommodating and enthusiastic.

Just wanted to pass on how fab your workshop was at our event today! The facilitator had the crowd (of all ages!) fully engaged in the sessions and it was so lovely to see people having fun! We were battling with the elements and he was able to manage that with ease, offering solutions to the attendees who had found themselves in the midst of a sandstorm! Can I just say what an absolute delight your performers were today. The junk percussionists were fabulous and the children loved all the circus activities, but the biggest well done has to go to the dancer, who single handedly, led the South American dancing. Yesterday, our primary school had the pleasure of hosting an extraordinary circus skills workshop, and it was an experience that will be remembered fondly by both students and staff for a long time. The workshop was led by an incredibly engaging and funny instructor who immediately captured the attention and hearts of everyone present.

From the moment the workshop began, it was clear that we were in for a treat. The leader’s enthusiasm was infectious, and his ability to connect with the children was nothing short of magical. His comedic timing and light-hearted approach made the learning process not only educational but also incredibly fun. The children were constantly laughing and smiling, completely captivated by his dynamic teaching style.

The variety of skills covered during the workshop was impressive. The students had the opportunity to try their hands at juggling, plate spinning, diablo, and even some basic acrobatics. The leader demonstrated each skill with a perfect blend of humour and expertise, making complex tricks look easy and achievable. His patience and encouragement helped every child feel confident and motivated to try their best, regardless of their initial skill level.

What stood out the most was the way the leader made each child feel special. He took the time to interact with everyone, offering personalized tips and praise. His ability to manage and engage a large group of children, while ensuring each one felt included and supported, was truly remarkable.

By the end of the workshop, the room was buzzing with excitement and accomplishment. The children were eager to show off their new skills to their friends and family, and the sense of pride and joy was palpable. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact this workshop had on our students. It was a brilliant day filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments. We cannot recommend this circus skills workshop highly enough and look forward to welcoming them back in the future!

Everyone absolutely loved it. Teachers, TA’s, the head and deputy were absolutely thrilled with the performance. Our recent African Drumming Workshop was a resounding success, filling our school with the captivating rhythms and rich culture of Africa. With expert guidance and hands-on experience, our students discovered the power of rhythm and connected with the vibrant heritage of the African continent. The children loved the workshop and truly enjoyed the experience of playing the drums.

Our African Dance Workshop was an incredible success, with children in KS2 loving the rhythm and sounds. We were amazed by the enthusiasm and energy everyone brought to the dance floor (especially our teachers), celebrating the beauty and diversity of African cultures. Thanks to our talented instructors for making this workshop an unforgettable experience.

We had an exciting start to the week with African Drumming workshops for pupils in Reception- Year 4. The pupils loved hearing and refining the rhythms demonstrated by the workshop leader. His spirit and energy throughout the whole day was palpable, and all the pupils benefitted from being immersed and experiencing different cultures and traditions. This was part of our Black History Month celebrations which are taking part throughout this month across the whole school.

An interactive workshop that teaches children some skills and techniques of African Drumming…very practical and loud and enjoyed by children of all ages.

The African Drumming workshop was so much fun and the children loved that they were at the centre of creating the music. The facilitator was wonderful at responding to the diverse needs of our children and allowed them to explore and take part in the workshop in a way that suits them best. Primary Workshops have been so helpful in ensuring the workshop was personalised for the age and needs of our children and setting. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

Our children (and staff) greatly enjoyed the African Drumming workshop. The facilitator was an inspiring and brilliant teacher to all our children. Year 6 performed admirably to the whole school at the end of the day after only 40 minutes practice. All children with special needs were fully included throughout the day. I’d high recommend this workshop to schools and feel that it is very good value for money especially if you allocate your Sports Premium funding towards it.

The workshop gave the children the opportunity to try something outside their comfort zone with experts who could show them techniques which our staff may find challenging. It also gave those children who participate in dance classes outside of school, the chance to shine.

The workshop was enjoyed by our Year 1 children. The facilitator engaged with the children and told us a lot about the history and stories behind the songs and the playing of African drums.

We took feedback from the children afterwards and a lot of the children said they didn’t like science, but the facilitator made it fun that they think they do like it now. The facilitator was so patient and accommodating and our students were totally engaged throughout.

We had these workshops at 2 of our public libraries as part of our library summer reading challenge programme of events. We asked for the workshop to be based on a picture book linked to the theme of the challenge. The facilitator’s ideas for narrating elements of the story through dance were brilliant. Most of the children didn’t know each other before the workshops but the facilitator encouraged them to work together to overcome their shyness and other issues and the two groups produce two lovely dances which all the children’s adults really enjoyed watching at the end of the sessions.

We have booked the Circus Skills workshop for the last few years as part of our Victorian WOW day as we had explored Victorian leisure and the creation of circuses during this era. The facilitator is fantastic and interacts really well with the children. The workshop is very interactive and the timings work out perfectly too. We will be booking for next year – thank you!

The drumming assembly was a great way to start the morning and really inspired the children. The whole school has had fantastic day and that is definitely down to the facilitator. The children really enjoyed the assembly and workshops. They were introduced to a variety of instruments and were engaged throughout. Children have created their own instruments and used activities learned in the workshop to develop their learning further.

Our children in Reception and Key Stage One took part in the fantastic Indian dance workshop with our facilitator, who looked the part in her traditional Indian costume. The music was catchy and the choreography was simple enough for even the youngest children to follow. After the dance workshops were complete, the whole school was invited to watch th performances together in the hall. The children performed with lots of energy and enthusiasm, impressing the entire audience with their concentration and focus. We have used PWFS in the past and will continue to do so in the future. The dance session brings valuable real life experience to children helping them understand a topic such as Holi. It also provides a wonderful creative experience that reflects in children’s writing, art, well-being and trying something new.

Children always enjoy the workshops we book through primary workshops and are able to talk about the sessions long after they have finished.

The facilitator was extremely accommodating and very patient with our children. He was easy to talk to and had a very calm manner about him. Our children have issues with trust, but most asked questions, chatted and stayed in the whole session. The facilitator was very knowledgeable and was able to share amazing facts with us. A successful day had by all.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the children had a wonderful time. The facilitator was wonderful with the little ones and she was very organised and helped the day to run smoothly. The resources were also brilliant, we are going to try and purchase some for the school! It was well resourced and the children benefitted from the extra resources that we couldn’t have provided. I just wanted to feedback from our Samba workshop yesterday – we had a fantastic day! A huge thank you to the facilitator for inspiriting our children and supporting them in being able to perform to the rest of the school at the end of the day. We actually had 2 pupils in that year group who are extremely anxious about performing (didn’t take part in the Christmas Carol Service) yet they felt confident enough to join in with the performance to all of the school at the end of the day, a huge achievement. The children really enjoyed it and learnt so much from their day with the facilitator. One of the parents said this morning that their child and their friend were talking in the back of the car about Samba all the way home! So lovely. The facilitator was fantastic with the children and also shared our values as a school in having high expectations of the children in terms of what they can achieve and behaviour. He was very professional, arrived well on time and was very supportive of the pupils. He also delivered a great assembly to the whole school in the morning. It really is great to be able to have workshops again following covid and we’d highly recommend Primary Workshops for Schools.

Bright and colourful, the perfect way to show children how cultures from around the world celebrate their special times. The children were in awe of the dragon and how he majestically moved around the room.

We were extremely lucky to have the expertise of the facilitator whose knowledge and experience of the Indian drum was vast. From start to finish, the facilitator had all of the children engaged and participating which included learning to play the dhol drum and clapping along to the rhythm. His energy kept the children wanting more and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. I would definitely recommend the facilitator and the Indian drumming.

The facilitator was absolutely amazing and such an amazing person for the children to meet. All four class teachers agree that this workshop was perfect for our topic and appropriate for the age and skills of our children. No improvement needed. The African Drumming workshop was perfect for our children. The facilitator was excellent and really knew how to work with EYFS children. Children and teachers alike all had a great time and learnt so much.

The facilitator’s rapport with the children and the staff was brilliant, his timekeeping was efficient and his assembly was dynamic. I’d also say that the workshops were pitched well to the age group. We loved meeting the facilitator for a lively introduction to Indian percussion and dhol drumming. Our young musicians performed a rhythm pattern as an ensemble on authentic drums. The facilitator’s smile was on show all day and his enthusiasm and passion for his craft was clear to see.

The girls were mesmerised by the movements with the fans and parasols and loved learning new dance moves.

The facilitator was very engaging with the pupils, kept the interest throughout and could see during afternoon sessions that when some pupils became restless he would do something to keep them engaged.

The children always love this workshop every year and even the staff look forward to it. The lion dance is so much fun and the children find it an unforgettable experience! It is amazing to see Chinese culture come to life, especially for the children.

Last weeks workshop was fantastic! The children had the best time. We want to say a massive thank you, the children were so inspired. In particular the boys, we could tell how much it meant to them to have a male role model, one of the children said to the facilitator ‘you are the best person in the world, can we have you everyday’. The energy he brought was great. We loved how the day was a perfect mix between education, the activities and having fun, the children learnt so much. They are really excited now for their Geography topic on Africa and have been super engaged which is so good to see. We also loved the opportunity to showcase at the end of the day, it was great for parent engagement and for the rest of the children in school to watch, a proud moment for our Year 5s. We loved how every single child could access all the activities and give it a good go. The facilitator would select some children who were performing well or trying hard which also gave the children motivation to listen and try harder and have their successes celebrated. Please pass on our thanks again – it was our favourite day so far this school year.

Our Nursery and Reception children loved the Chinese Dragon Dance workshop. They were engaged throughout the sessions, the props were all beautiful and the opportunity to perform for parents at the end was fantastic.

The workshop was fabulous! The children were very engaged and loved the whole session. The facilitator was fabulous from beginning to end. He had the children enthralled in the session, even the most challenging pupils were engaged.

A great opportunity for the children to experience a different culture and to work together to create an entertaining spectacle.

The feedback I got from all the teachers was that the sessions were fantastic – very interactive and the children thoroughly enjoyed using all of the props – especially the dragon. The workshop was fantastic and our children thoroughly enjoyed learning the dances. They especially liked working together to make the dragon dance!

Primary Workshops for Schools delivered an all-day African drumming and dance workshop to our class year 2 pupils. The morning focused on learning about the history of the drums and dance and the children practicing skills before applying it into a performance that they delivered to parents at the end of the day. The children had an incredible day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Several members of staff who were not part of the day all commented on how amazing it looked and sounded – I have never had such positive reviews/comments like it. The facilitator was brilliant with the children – so energetic and friendly – it was impossible not to love the day.

The Chinese Dragon Dance workshop was amazing and the children thoroughly enjoyed it. Their favourite part was dancing with the fans, umbrellas and dragon. The facilitator was very well organised, well-resourced and fantastic with the children. The facilitator also adapted to the different year groups really well and tried some new things which the children loved. We would love to do it again next year and would recommend to anyone!

This workshop was exactly what we wanted. We appreciated that the workshop was tweaked to suit our requirements. The dancer was extremely punctual, well prepared and energetic from the start of the day until the last. The workshop was fantastic; the children were highly engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the practical side to it. Each child was given their own individual resources for the experiment which meant they could all participate when working scientifically. They were even able to take their scientific creations home to show their families!

Booking the workshop was made even better by their willingness to adapt the organisation of the day to our school needs and timetable. The children thoroughly enjoyed the hands on nature of the workshop and the facilitator pitched the activities perfectly to the children’s level of physical ability, while giving them a great challenge too.

We thought the workshop was great, it ran on time and was pitched correctly for the age range of the children. The music was fun and the dance moves were easy to follow. Our children really enjoyed the workshop and developed their confidence and skills. They were all eager to join in and each activity was well demonstrated and links to the curriculum made. The tutor was very supportive in meeting the needs of our SEN pupils.

It was first rate! Even the most reluctant children eventually joined in to some degree or another. The facilitator was enthusiastic and totally professional; she engaged with the children and gave them a real performance experience!

The facilitator encouraged children to draw on their prior knowledge and asked a good range of questions. All children were given the opportunity to try out an instrument and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The children had a great time playing the instruments and creating music as a class.

Our facilitator really knew her stuff and we were impressed by how she interacted with the children – she allowed them lots of time to ask all their questions and was great with the shyer/nervous children. They all came away excited!

We simply couldn’t speak highly enough of the engaging and professional cheerleading workshop that was delivered to our Year 2 children today. The children had the opportunity to practice and enhance their dance skills in a safe, friendly environment and the smiles on their faces were a reflection of how much fun they were having. The workshop culminated in performing four cheerleading routines for a captivated and inspired audience of Reception and Year 1 children, which everybody thoroughly enjoyed. The quality of the final performances were a testament to the standard of instruction provided by our workshop facilitator, who instantly captured the imaginations of the children and sustained this energy and enthusiasm throughout the workshop with her friendly, approachable and energetic manner and her exciting, creative cheerleading routines supported by popular music choices. Thank you to both our facilitator and Primary Workshops for Schools for providing such a valuable and memorable experience that will live long in the memories of the children that took part.

An excellent workshop with lots of opportunities for the children to develop skills involving hand/eye coordination and have lots of fun doing so. The introduction was fun and exciting and varied well according to the age of the children. All the children and staff expressed their enjoyment of the sessions and most had learned to do something new and different.

Both children and staff enjoyed the sessions immensely. They were engaging, fun and the children were able to have their own individual instrument to play.

We were very pleased by the ability of the facilitator – the children really responded well and thoroughly enjoyed the dance workshop. Our Big Band/Swing workshop enabled us to immense our children into the times in 1940. Professional and very enthusiastic facilitator was able to teach a large group of 30 children from start to finish, an entire dance routine with complex swing dance moves. Every child was supported and encouraged to participate. A great workshop – highly recommended.

All children were really engaged and enjoyed themselves, including one child with additional needs. The facilitator was very kind to him and gave him his own drum to use. Before long, he was joining in with the rest of the class! The children also really enjoyed hearing about his tales from Ghana. Three children in the class are African and were keen to share their stories also.

The facilitator was so knowledgeable and fab with the children! Our kids were so engaged and enthused – what a way to learn about African drumming!

Our Mosaic workshop was an awesome experience for our school community (EYFS, KS1 & KS2), The children learnt a lot about how to use the tools and resources to create mosaics with care as well as how to arrange the tiles in the best way to create their artistic piece. The artists’ were engaging, patient and supportive to all of the children and were able to lead the workshop with great skill, clarity and organisation. The end product was AMAZING – we could not believe that this was accomplished over only two days! Our whole school mosaic is now placed in a central place where it can be admired and appreciated by all. Thank you!

A truly magnificent workshop from start to finish. The children were engaged from the moment they walked through the door and they didn’t want to leave. The facilitator was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable allowing the children plenty of time to have their turns on the drums. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

We were very happy with our workshop. The facilitator was very punctual, calm and professional throughout the day. All the other class teachers were very complimentary. I can’t think of any major improvements to the workshop at this time. This was a very cost effective way to introduce our pupil to Yoga. The instructor had very good subject knowledge and demonstrated a wide range of yoga techniques to our entire school cohort from Nursery-age pupils to Year 6. Highly recommended.

I just wanted to email and say what a wonderful time all the children had in the African drumming workshop today. The facilitator delivered an extremely memorable experience for all our Key Stage One children today. The energy and humour he brought to every workshop was fantastic and engaged every single child. The facilitator was so patient when some of our little friends from Reception wanted to join the fun. The children smiled from ear to ear throughout the whole workshop as they saw their learning from this term be brought to life. I heard a few children talking as they left the workshop saying “that was the best!” and ” I want to do it again!”. You have given the children in our school an amazing experience which they will never forget and as teachers we cannot thank you enough.

I just wanted to say from myself, school and our wonderful children a big thank you for yesterday and all of your hard work in the build up to yesterday. The children and teachers loved it. The facilitator arrived nice and early and the children loved him! It was just wonderful!

Oh my goodness! What a day we had yesterday, with your wonderful performers! They were just amazing, but I am gutted that I didn’t get a chance to thank them in person before they left! This exciting workshop promises to engage, excite and inspire children to explore Science in a hands on way. Using resources which gets all children involved, the workshop challenges their initial thoughts and inspires them to think outside the box. Resources are well presented and unusual to the children, providing awe and wonder. A great workshop to inspire all.

We loved the workshop and I can’t think of a way to improve it. The facilitator was full of energy and engaged all the children from the very start. He combined lots of other aspects; explaining why drums were important for communication and what they were made of. Every child was involved and really enjoyed the active drumming session.

The session was interactive and enjoyable, the introduction and description of how and when this type of music would be played was a really great addition, it gave the children meaning and understanding of what they were doing. The facilitator was interested in what the children knew and the children enjoyed showing off the knowledge they have learnt in their topic. I was pleased that all children were able to have a go at playing an instrument and that they learned a variety of conductor signals to follow and a tune to play and perform. An enjoyable and informative experience for all.

It was a really fantastic day. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore tempo and rhythm and to practise some call and response. The session was fast-paced and enabled the children to have a lot of time playing the djembe drums. The facilitator was a wonderful leader for our children and we would love to invite you back in the future.

The workshops were absolutely amazing. I have never in my 25yrs of teaching had a whole school event that has been enjoyed by all staff from Reception to Year 6. The facilitator was wonderful with all the children and staff and every child was fully engaged and participating throughout the whole of the session. I would just like to say how much we have enjoyed having you with us for the last 2 days. It has been wonderful. Every member of staff that has been part of the workshops have said how wonderful the facilitator was with the children and how engaged the children were. Even our more reluctant learners were having the best time during the workshops. You were just fabulous with the children and the staff so amenable to changes out of our control! I have never had a workshop for the whole school where every class from Early Years to Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed the experience and didn’t want it to end. I wanted to say thank you for such an amazing experience. The children were energised, engaged and so happy! They loved having the dances modelled, the stories explained and copying the moves during the workshop. The boys, who I thought might have been a little reluctant to participate, really threw themselves into it. I think this was partly down to the leader being male and so positive and motivating – he really was fab! The show at the end of the day just made us smile. You could see the sense of achievement on the faces of all those performing, and despite a few reservations about performing in front of the school, they did it! And they did it brilliantly! Thank you, we absolutely loved our African Drumming workshop.  The children thoroughly enjoyed it and we were pleased with the fact that all could participate and be active in the drumming.  The instructor was amazing with the children and their enthusiasm showed through the day, exciting the children further.  We would be very interested in booking the workshop for next year too.

I really enjoyed it yesterday when you came to do African Drumming with our class.  When I walked into the hall I was mind-blown by the drums!.  I had never seen anything like it before.  On the drums, there were so many different patterns which made them unique.  My favourite was the flame.  I also really like the bass because it sounded like a gong.  Then as we learnt the rhythms we got faster and faster and it got more and more fun.

Thank you for organising everything so well, and at such short notice. The workshops provided were excellent and all the children had a fantastic experience.

We have had this workshop 3 times now, delivered by your drummer, he was very patient with them and the workshop was aimed at their level.
